I'm Monica. I work on corporate social media in a cubicle in a skyscraper with a beautiful view of downtown Minneapolis.

I'm a suburban mom who's always about to be late for something. I'm married to my college sweetheart and we make the best waffles anywhere.

This blog is a collection of ideas and memories and stories I find interesting. I hope you find them compelling, too.

Background

I grew up in a tree-lined cul-de-sac in Fargo, North Dakota. My Polish immigrant parents passed on their love of learning, their optimism, and their high expectations for my future (they eventually forgave me for choosing an English major).

I have a B.A. from Carleton College and a MBA from the University of Nevada, Reno. I have spent my 15-year corporate career at two companies, a Silicon Valley-based tech company and a 150-year-old bank. They have both felt exactly like home.
